I will stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters met for the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly proceeding.
